On November 11, 2025, my debut novella, Rowan Unfolded, will be released into the world. This novella is free for all my newsletter subscribers. Rowan Unfolded takes place in 2020, with the final chapter bringing it to current times. The release date is quickly approaching, and that means it can grace your inboxes shortly! It also means the first book in the Love, Communicated universe is coming out soon too. I'm beyond excited to share these with you all.
For now, though, Rowan's e-book will be free for subscribers, as I mentioned before. If you feel inclined to buy a physical copy, I will be offering those as well. The store on TAG is getting updated with some merch too, including stickers designed by the amazing Ashton Art, the same lovely artist who made the cover for Rowan's book (and all the books in the Love, Communicated series). As always, no AI went into any part of these books. No artwork, no writing, no editing—everything was crafted with human hands. I'm quite proud to say it's been an entirely Canadian process thus far.
How Did Rowan Come to Be?
Rowan's book was not on my radar until early October. Then it quickly became my priority to complete. I'm a big fan of Rowan, mostly because I know the world thinks she is too much. A sentiment I've shared with her many times. But we can't choose the amount in which we are. Of course, we could dim our authenticity to make others feel better, but I'm not going to do that. I hope you won't either. The world has far bigger problems than people who passionately love tacos and sing too loudly in their cars.

Do You Ship Internationally? (Physical Products)
This was something I put a lot of thought into, and the short answer is yes. To make this affordable for my non-Canadian followers, I have a print-on-demand company handling a lot of the printing, whether that's books, clothes, or items. For those of us in Canada, or those looking for signed copies, I'm more than happy to accommodate that too. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to send me an email.
What Does a Typical Newsletter Look Like?
This newsletter is the longest you'll probably ever get from me. Going forward, I'd like to only do monthly check-ins. I'll include my favorite quote for the month, a short summary of what I'm working on (because I'm terrible at keeping things I'm excited about a secret), and a prompt for you to think about in your life.
Quote for the Month:
"Pay attention to your patterns. The way you learned to survive may not be the way you want to continue to live. Heal and shift." - Thema Bryant-Davis
Why I Chose This Quote
This quote is powerful. It has been extremely important to me over the past three years. I've gone through many changes and situations I never dreamed possible five years ago. Some have been absolutely amazing, while others have been completely heartbreaking. But each serves its purpose in one way, or another.
The way I had to live, with the diagnosis I had and the symptoms I experienced, forced me to depend on people. A significant unlearning process meant no longer relying on others in that capacity. Eventually, I realized I want people in my life. I used to be in a place where my wants had to take a back seat to my needs. My self-worth, identity, and understanding of myself were intricately tied to that diagnosis.
When you have a hysterectomy and wake up to find every symptom that once plagued your life has vanished, there's a lot of unlearning to do. There's also a lot of grieving, anger, and a bit of fear. But after all of that, there's a strange sense of calm and acceptance. Since I did the emotional heavy lifting required, my personal relationships evolved into a much healthier and more mutually beneficial state.
A Question For You
Where in your life do you still hold on to patterns, beliefs, or choices that don't feel aligned with who you want to be? Bonus question: How can you take one step towards aligning yourself with who you want to be, right now?
The Journey Ahead
As we approach the release date of Rowan Unfolded, I invite you to join me on this journey. The excitement is palpable, and I can't wait to share this story with you. It's not just about the book; it's about the connections we make and the experiences we share.
The Importance of Community
Community plays a crucial role in any creative endeavour. It’s the support of friends, family, and readers that fuels the passion behind the writing. I encourage you to engage with your own communities. Share your thoughts, your struggles, and your triumphs. You never know who might resonate with your journey.
Embracing Change
Change is often daunting, but it can also be incredibly liberating. As I reflect on my own journey, I realize that embracing change has been one of the most rewarding experiences. It allows for growth and new opportunities. I hope you find the courage to embrace change in your own life.
Looking Forward
As we look forward to the future, I want to remind you that every step you take is significant. Whether it's a small change in your daily routine or a major life decision, each step contributes to your growth. Celebrate those moments, no matter how small they may seem.
Final Thoughts
In closing, I want to express my gratitude for your support. Your enthusiasm for Rowan Unfolded means the world to me. I hope this novella resonates with you and inspires you to embrace your authenticity. Remember, you are enough just as you are.
Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for being part of this journey!
